ORIGIN OF CHECKERS
Checkers is an interesting game played between two players on a check board. There are 12 pieces available with each player. The players are required to win over the objects of the opponent in order to win the game. There are some people who believe that the game in solved but there are also people who believe that the game is not yet solved and it will take years before it sees the solution in the field of computer games. According to some people, to find a solution to the game, it would require a detailed study of the entire tree structure of the game. The tree structure is so huge that it will need a computer that is bigger than the entire universe to prepare the solution. There are many debates and discussion going on about the solution of the game but it remains to be an interesting game and there are many people across the world who likes to play and enjoy this game irrespective of the fact that there are heated discussions.
The history of the game can be traced back to the ancient civilization. It was a very popular game among the Egyptians who played this game and there are evidences that the game was played on the boards just as the modern checkers. But there are no evidences about the knowhow of the game. The historians have been able to find the ancient boards that were used to play the game, but there are details available about how the game was played. The boards discovered are different than the modern day checkers and so are the pieces. The Egyptian version of the game soon spread to the entire world and it continued to dominate the world till France decided to adapt the game and gave it a new look. The French version then travelled to the rest of the western world and is played till today.
