Chinese Checkers Rules

CHINESE CHECKERS RULES

There are certain rules that are provided by the Masters Traditional Games, which is an Internet shop that sells the quality traditional games, unusual games and even the pub games. Here you would also be able to see the rules of the game that are published by them to promote the game all over the world.

You would also be able to take the print, pass or copy the rules without changing the original form that would include the information of Masters Traditional Games and its copyright.

The ‘Masters Traditional Games’ also sells the nice ‘Teak Chinese Checkers’ board along with the playing pieces of marbles.

Equipments

The ‘Chinese Checkers board’ has the six-pointed star shape. Each point of star has the triangle that consists of 10 holes (four holes each side). The inner part of board has a hexagon along with five holes long all the sides. The colour of the triangle would be different from one another.

Preparation

This game can be played by 2, 3, 4, 5 or even by 6 players. As it is the game of six players, all the triangles and pegs would be used in it. Each player can choose their own colour and ten pegs of the same colour and should place it in the coloured triangle appropriately.

Play:

Who has to start will be decided with a toss of coin. In order to move their own color single peg, players take turns. In one of the turn, the player either may move in to the adjacent hole or will make one or more hops over the other pegs. Each of the hops may be in any color of the player’s choice and can proceed in any of the six directions.

From the board, the pegs are not removed at all. You can move the peg into any of the hole on the board and the holes including in triangles that belongs to other players. Once the peg reaches the hole, it cannot be moved out of it.

Finishing

The winner has to occupy all the 10 destination holes. Always there is a debate over the situation where one player is prevented from winning just because the opposing player’s peg will occupy tone of the holes in destination triangle. Most of the game rules do omit to mention implying that it is legal to block the opponents in any dubious fashion. Most of the game players suggest that the additional rule should be wider in order to capture such situations.
