GAME OF LIFE VARIATIONS
The Game of Life was copyrighted by the Milton Bradley Company in 1963. The main variant in this game was that once a player reached the Day of Reckoning, he could either end up at the Poor Farm, or become a Millionaire Tycoon and move on to Millionaire Acres. This version known to be a full 3D action game was a celebratory version and advertised as a "Milton Bradley 100th Anniversary Game".
Just as dollar values doubled in later versions possibly to reflect the rising inflation, the late 1980s version also replaced the familiar convertibles with Chrysler minivans. The Game of Life was once again revised in 1992 to reward players for good behavior, such as recycling trash and helping the homeless.
There have been numerous versions of The Game of Life released since its inception with few changes to the rules. Since 1999 there has also been a surplus of themed versions of the game, usually based on whatever is seen to be current or happening at that time.
