PICTIONARY STRATEGY
Be out of the box!
Pictionary is not all about talent and extraordinary drawing skills. One should be able to think out of the box. Artistic skills are only a minor part of the game. Infact the main idea behind playing this game is to have fun. While having fun different ideas and creative thoughts should cross mind.
As a strategy to win the game, one can also form certain common pictures and convey to their team the meaning of them. A general capability to communicate within constraints of time is important. Drawing is therefore not the ultimate objective of the game. One can be imaginative. For instance if the word is ‘underworld’, one can divide it into two parts i.e. under and world. They can then proceed by easily drawing under and world separately. The game is therefore more imaginative than artistic.
There are certain symbols that common to different cultures. For example two boy figures with a plus sign in between would represent brothers. A cross sign in some culture would represent denial or might represent danger. Therefore one must form some common symbol so that communication and guessing becomes easier. Without having to stress your mind about tactical calculations and computational intelligence, go ahead and laugh out loud. This game is all about fun.
