RISK

ORIGIN OF RISK

Risk is characterized as a strategic board game played by two to six players and promises to engage and challenge any player to think and act as a true leader of the world.

Popular as a war game, it was originally invented by the French film director Albert Lamorisee while he was on vacation in Holland. It was released in the year 1957 in France under the name of La Conquete du Monde translated as The Conquest of the World.

Risk is a board game of world domination where the ultimate objective is to conquer the world. Just as in real life, to rule and own the world, you have to attack and acquire different territories while at the same time defending your own from others. The board is a political map of the Earth divided into 42 territories grouped into six continents. Each person controls armies, strategizes, and launches daring attacks while continuously moving across continents usurping power. Therefore the goal of the game is to conquer the world by eliminating other players.
