ORIGIN OF RUBIK'S CUBE
A complex cube of simple colors arranged in 3X3X3 layout, having 6 sides. The puzzle was invented by a Emo Rubik, a professor of architecture in the year 1980. Ranked as the best puzzle in the same year, the cube became an instant hit. The sheer complexity factor of the cube made itself to be sold in millions (estmd: 350 million cubes worldwide) Under the genius of its simple layout, lies a mechanism of spherical shaped cubes interlocked by a main structure affixed with such same small cubicles of all the 6 color. The core pieces are attached and cannot be moved. They form the centre colors on all the six sides. Rest of the other 20 cubes fit on this structure which enables them to be rotated in all the varied directions. Not all the pieces are the same. There are twelve edge piece which has two colored sides each, and eight corner pieces with three colored sides. Together they form the ‘Rubik’s cube’ puzzle
